This blog isn't meant to be a site for book reviews, or a book club, or a place to plug books in general. When I come across one that might be helpful as further reading though, I will mention it here so you can grab it and delve a little deeper if you like.
The first book I'll mention is The Great Divorce by C. S. Lewis.
In the last post, What If the Catnip Really Is Greener...?, I mentioned the idea of hell as separation from God. If you're unfamiliar with the idea of hell--or heaven--as a state of being rather than simply a place, the Great Divorce is the best book I've ever read that illustrates that concept not just in layman's terms but in a dramatic, concrete way. Most libraries will have copies of this Christian classic, or you can follow the link to buy your own. Either way, a must-read!
